Sale conditions of wood are specified by the regulation of Director – General of the Sate Forests.
Within the framework of the individual sale , the foresters try to meet the fast growing demand, because more and more people use wood in order to heat their houses. Contrary to general opinion, these are not only village people, even though they prevail among recipients. The growth of firewood demand is the result of occurrence of new housing estates built in the suburbs of large agglomerations, where houses are usually equipped in fireplace heating installations.
Firewood is not only the most ecological heat source, but also is much more attractive in respect of relation of price and electric efficiency, rather than cola, oil, gas or electric power.
In recent years, the Sate Forests increased the sale of firewood of one third – up to over 4 million cubic meters annually. Some of customers choose already prepared and cut into pieces wood, the others very willingly obtain it by themselves after arranging all details and fulfilling particular safety conditions, and after paying the fee; that concerns mainly so called "thinnings". Such a raw material is very cheap, that is why many people from village areas profit from such possibility.

Nadleśnictwo Dobieszyn na dożynkach w Stromcu
Dnia 06.09.2015r Nadleśnictwa Dobieszyn było na dożynkach w m. Stromiec. Nadleśnictwo wystawiło swoje stoisko, gdzie zaprezentowane zostały dary lasu oraz była prowadzona edukacja leśna.
Festyn dożynkowy rozpoczął się Mszą Świętą w Kościele pw. Św. Jana Chrzciciela w Stromcu. Następnie na placu boiska sportowego miała miejsce dalsza część uroczystości. Na dożynki przybyli przedstawiciele Administracji Leśnej nadleśnictwa, na czele z p. Nadleśniczym oraz licznie stawili się pracownicy Zakładów Usług Leśnych z leśnictw - Zawady, Grabowy Las, Ksawerów, Turno. Ilość osób która brała udział w imprezie można szacować na ok. 500-700 osób – dorosłych i dzieci. Na stoisku nadleśnictwa wydawane były kolorowanki o tematyce przyrodniczo-leśnej, komiksy nawiązujące do wydarzeń jakie miały miejsce w lasach Puszczy Stromieckiej, foldery, broszury (np. „O zachowaniu się w lesie"), odblaski z logo L.P i napisem „Nadleśnictwo Dobieszyn, Puszcza Stromiecka", albumy „W Puszczy Stromieckiej nad Pilicą", czasopisma leśne (min. Głos Lasu), długopisy, notesy. Przy pomocy pieczątek edukacyjnych dzieci tworzyły różne scenki z życia lasu. W ramach zabawy dzieci otrzymywały Dyplom okolicznościowy. Jak co roku impreza była udana mimo, iż tego dnia porywisty wiatr płatał organizatorom różne figle.
